16. Annual Maintenance

16.1 Warnings:

The procedures detailed in this chapter must be carried out only by a professionally qualiﬁ ed

person. Thus you are advised to contact an Authorised Service Agent. For efﬁ cient and con-

tinuous operation of the boiler you are advised to have, at least once a year, maintenance and

cleaning done by an Approved Service Person. Isolate the appliance from the electricity sup-

ply by turning off the fused spur isolation switch adjacent to the appliance and turn off the gas

cock, before carrying out any procedures, whatsoever, for cleaning, maintenance, opening or

dismantling boiler panels.

16.2 Dismanteling the external panels:

Front Panel:

• Loosen the three screws A (Fig. 17.1)

• Lift and remove the panel.

Side Panels:

• Loosen the screws B (Figure 17.2). Bring the bottom of the panels away from the boiler and

lift them, freeing them from the top hooks.

16.3 Emptying the Central Heating System:

• Close the pressure reducing automatic ﬁ ll

valve (28 on Section 4)

• Open the central heating drain cock (F in

Fig. 17.3).

• Empty the c.h. system.

• Close the central heating drain cock (F in

Fig. 17.3).

• Open the pressure reducing automatic ﬁ ll

valve (28 on Section 4)
